Lewis Hamilton helped his brother dealing with bullies

Now that he is six-time Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton is an inspiration for many children who want to achieve something in the world of motorsport. First and foremost, he has always been an example and pillar for his younger brother.
Lewis was already on his way to Formula 1 when his brother Nicolas had a hard time at school. He was bullied because he was in a wheelchair as a result of a brain disorder. He first knocked on his older brother's door for help and he knew a suitable solution.
"It was actually my brother that I went to when I first started struggling," Nicolas explains to Sky Sports. "I said, 'Lewis, what do I do? I've got these kids now just taking the mick out of me being in a wheelchair. His answer was that I just need to continue to be myself. He said, 'if people are laughing at this wheelchair that you're in, then why don't we make it cool and do some cool things in it?"

"He taught me how to do wheelies and stuff in the wheelchair, and I almost became like a Tony Hawk skateboarder in my wheelchair, I started jumping stairs and trying to be cool. That helped me through it. It was a character-building moment, so I'm glad I went through it."
Nicolas then explains that his parents taught him to stand up for himself, but that his brother's advice in this case could not hurt. He is still very proud of Lewis, who, according to him, has achieved something that was not thought possible for someone in their family.
