It is looking more and more likely that the start of the Formula 1 season will be postponed. McLaren have withdrawn from the Australian Grand Prix, but the staff members might have to self-isolate for two weeks. The infected person may also be out of action for longer. Does this mean McLaren will struggle to make the Bahrain Grand Prix?

The coronavirus is spreading around and that is currently causing some confusion to the Formula 1 season. Where Formula E and MotoGP had already tied the knot at an earlier stage, Formula 1 decided to travel to Australia.

One of the McLaren staff has become infected with the coronavirus, which is why the team has decided to withdraw for the Australian Grand Prix. The staff member in question is hospitalized and must be quarantined for two weeks. However, with the Bahrain Grand Prix just around the corner, that can be a problem.

COVID-19 is spreading fast, so McLaren also seems to be able to cross the Bahrain GP, which will be held a week after the race in Melbourne.
