Charles Leclerc has admitted that the daunting uphill sweep at Spa will still cause plenty of drivers problems this weekend as the Belgian Grand Prix resumes the season following the summer break. Leclerc will be looking to avoid less trouble than last year when he was hit by the McLaren of Fernando Alonso.

Despite having problems at the circuit last year, that hasn't stopped the Monegasque's from praising the track and explaining what he likes about it so much.

"Spa-Francorchamps is one of the greatest race tracks in the world and one of the most beautiful that we race on in Formula 1," the Ferrari driver said

"So it makes starting racing again after the summer break even more enjoyable.

"It’s always impressive when you realise just how fast the current Formula 1 cars can go through the corners and at no other track is that perception so obvious."

Leclerc and Ferrari will be looking for a strong start after the summer break is they look to close the gap on the impressive Mercedes, who currently have a 150 point lead on the Italian car.

Leclerc himself is fifth in the drivers' standings, just 24 behind his teammate Sebastian Vettel.
