Racing Point insists "Stroll has a bright future ahead of him"

Since Lance Stroll first arrived on the Formula 1 scene at Williams, he has been labelled as a so-called 'pay driver'. The technical director of Racing Point disagrees and believes Stroll has a strong future ahead.

“We could see immediately that Lance has talent during the first test. This was also reflected in the simulator," Andrew Green told Motorsport total.

“He has worked in the winter. His dedication and enthusiasm are incredible. Our first impressions were really good. He fits very well in the team. I also think he has a great future ahead of him," concludes Green.

Stoll has picked up two points so far this season while Sergio Perez, the other Pink Panther, has five. Stroll's two points came in Australia when he climbed from 16th to finish in 9th.
