Former Ferrari team boss Cesare Fioria doesn't agree with the sudden hype surrounding Mick Schumacher. According to the Italian, Schumacher isn't convinced by the speed of the German after his test with Ferrari last week.

In Formula 2 he is racing in a very competitive car, but he was eighth and sixth in Bahrain," Fioria told Tuttomotoriweb.com. "He was second during the Formula 1 test, but with tires that were twice as soft as those of Verstappen, which was faster. So far, Mick Schumacher doesn't look competitive to me, but there is a lot to do."

Fioria also claimed that Mattia Binotto has made a major mistake to make Sebastian Vettel the number one driver over Charles Leclerc. After the first two weekends of the season, it's not a bad view.

“To be honest, I had expected that Charles Leclerc would be a big problem for Vettel from the start. Binotto is a very good engineer, but I don't think he expected Leclerc to be that competitive immediately. This can become a problem for him."

“He [Vettel] makes far too many mistakes when he is under pressure. Ferrari will have to lower the pressure on him a little, but that is not easy when you are fighting with Mercedes. For the longer term, Leclerc is the man they will have to build on."
