Sebastian Vettel will enter his fifth season as a Ferrari driver, all five times he’s been beaten to the World Championship by a Mercedes but the four-time winner is not ready to call it a day just yet.

Vettel won four consecutive titles between 2010 and 2013 all with Red Bull but the German is yet to come out on top with Ferrari despite appearing to have the upper hand in the early part of the season. Lewis Hamilton has won four of the last five seasons and despite the Brit’s dominance, he’s not giving in.

"Not really or no, the answer is no!" Vettel told Sport Bild.

"Because throwing in the towel would mean dropping everything and giving it up.

"No, because my goal, my dream is to become a Ferrari World Champion, it also motivates me that Ferrari is the biggest name, in Formula 1.

"For me it would, therefore, be the ultimate if I could win the world title with Ferrari.

"I think it’s clear that I’m not in the spring of my career anymore.

"On the other hand, at 31 I still have plenty of time in this sport,” he added.
