McLaren managed to secure a race victory in Miami partly due to the updates brought along. For Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, this provides hope. Indeed, the Scuderia's first updates are already coming in Imola. Ferrari's team boss is less hopeful towards the updates.

For the first time in a long time, Max Verstappen was once again beaten on track. Although the way the safety car entered the track in favour of Lando Norris caused some upheaval, the McLaren's speed was good. For Ferrari, updates are planned for Imola.

Leclerc takes hope from the updates McLaren managed to bring to Miami. ''I think the season will be up to upgrades. We have ours coming very soon and that will define a little bit the rest of the season for us. So, we've got to work hard and hopefully, those upgrades will be as good as theirs and will help us to take a significant step forward.''

Vasseur less hopeful heading into Imola

Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur tempers these expectations a little. According to him, it is mainly about the choices made on the track. ''I think we have a kind of a some thought we've got into the development of the of this current car. And when we are bringing something, it's it's never a mega upgrade. It's true. Also, that when in qualifying you have a four or five cars in one tenth, if you bring one tenth, it's a game changer for the weekend. But a large part of the results, it's coming also from what we are doing with the drivers, the setup of the car during the weekend, the management of the tyres. And we don't have to think only about upgrades and development. It’s also the job that we are doing on track,'' said Vasseur.
