Despite the speed of the RB20 on track, the rumours surrounding Red Bull Racing continue to pour in away from the circuit. Max Verstappen has recently been linked with Mercedes and his father, Jos Verstappen, has responded to these rumours.

Last week, news emerged that top designer Adrian Newey will most likely leave Red Bull. This is due to unrest, caused by Christian Horner, within the Red Bull Team. In addition, it seems that the Red Bull Powertrains project is falling behind the competition.

Will Max Verstappen stay at Red Bull Racing?

These are several reasons why Max Verstappen may look beyond Red Bull. Last weekend, Verstappen's father Jos Verstappen drove a rally in Wallonia, Belgium. Speaking to Racexpress, Jos explains how the 'Verstappen camp' thinks about the best place for Max.

Verstappen says that at the moment Red Bull still seems the right place for Max, but this could change in the future. "I think everyone wants Max very badly, only I think Max is doing just right at the moment. He has a fast car, but yes, we also have to look further ahead. We are also looking at 2026. We'll everything come to us a bit and we'll stay very calm and see what will happen."
