Red Bull Racing motorsport advisor Helmut Marko believes some tracks will bring the competition closer to the Austrian team. This includes the next Formula 1 race in Miami. The Miami Grand Prix will take place on May 5.

In his analysis for Speedweek.com, Marko said: "Racetracks where the opponents could get a little closer to us are Miami or Monaco, especially since the competition has gotten closer, especially in the qualifying trim. I can imagine that it won't be easy to be in pole position there."

Red Bull has been unchallenged in recent seasons, with Verstappen and Perez taking all but two wins since the start of the 2023 season.

Their competition has been closer, with 195 points compared to 224 at the same stage of last season. The gap behind them after 5 races was 122 in 2023, compared to only 44 this season. See Marko's full concerns here.

Lawrence Stroll given a warning from former F1 winner

Aston Martin team owner Lawrence Stroll has been warned by F1 race winner Johnny Herbert that it could be time to chop his son from his race seat

After Lance Stroll's heavily criticised move on Daniel Ricciardo under the safety car at the Chinese GP, Herbert suggested that the Silverstone-based team should look at out-of-contract Carlos Sainz to drive alongside compatriot Fernando Alonso.

Sainz is looking for a seat in 2025 after Ferrari replaced him with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes and Williams want to make an exception for Antonelli

Mercedes are looking at options to fill Hamilton's vacant Mercedes seat in 2025, with their junior driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli mentioned as one by team boss Toto Wolff. However, according to reports by F1 journalist Joe Saward, Mercedes are looking to put him in the Williams to get him some Formula 1 experience, much like they did with George Russell

This could be done as early as Imola, but the one issue is Antonelli doesn't turn 18 until the end of August and doesn't have enough Super License Points, meaning he is illegible for a Super License point.

Mercedes and Williams can request the FIA to make an exception, one can be requested if a driver does not have enough points for his super licence, but this seems to be more difficult for age.

Could Ferrari run an all-blue livery in Miami?

Ferrari announced on Tuesday that they will run a special livery featuring two different shades of blue, but the extent to which this will be the case is yet to be known.

However, we got a sneak preview when the Italian team showed off their special merchandise for the event, which is completely blue

Verstappen set to surpass Hamilton with this extraordinary statistic

Max Verstappen could surpass Lewis Hamilton regarding win percentages, with the two drivers almost equal. Verstappen's currently stands at 30.53, whilst Hamilton's has fallen to 30.56 per cent, having not won a race since 2021.

Even if the Dutchman fails to win in Miami, he will likely overtake Hamilton at some point during the season, in which Mercedes are still yet to score a podium.
