'Newey had no conversation with Ferrari, but was in Italy for something else'

Red Bull top designer Adrian Newey was recently spotted in Maranello. The Brit was spotted at Bologna airport, which is a city just an hour's drive from the Ferrari factory. Formula Passion now reports this as a false alarm. The Red Bull man was not in Italy to hold talks with Ferrari.

Newey not at Ferrari's factory at all?

The Italian medium reports that Newey was at the Mugello circuit, as there was a special test there. Newey has been linked to the Italian Scuderia before. Newey's wife, Amanda Newey, even liked a tweet saying her husband should go to Ferrari.

The saga surrounding Christian Horner has sparked a huge number of rumours about the Red Bull Racing headliner. Newey is said to have already received a million-dollar offer from Aston Martin. And other rumours came out that Mercedes is not only vying for Max Verstappen's arrival, but also that of Pierre Waché. Whether this will actually happen remains to be seen.
