Felipe Drugovich has signed a contract with Vector Sport's LMP2 team. They compete in European Le Mans series. Drugovich will also remain Aston Martin's test reserve driver in Formula 1.

In Formula 1, the Brazilian already drove the first free practice at Monza prior to the Italian Grand Prix last season. Also in Abu Dhabi, the Aston Martin protégé completed FP1. His new employers, Vector Sport, were active in WEC in recent seasons, but that series dropped the LMP2 class. The team are making the switch to European Le Mans Series and has a commitment to participate in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Drugovich hugely excited

"I am really happy and motivated to have signed with Vector Sport to drive for them on the European Le Mans Series 2024. I know the teams history and quality and am very excited to get on track with them. It's good to know that I will be back in action in real races, bringing together my experience in racing and my fondness for Endurance Racing," Drugovich said.

The 23-year-old driver explained that he will combine the two racing classes this season. "My job as substitute and reserve driver with Aston Martin F1 continues with its full schedule, I will be just be keeping busy on my weekends which up until now have been free!"
