Many of us want to do it, a few of us have already done it: Meeting Max Verstappen! JayJay Boske and Viaplay presenter Koen Weijland even got to interview him once. An exciting moment for the two, fortunately Verstappen remained cool about it.

On Day1' s YouTube channel, Boske talks to Weijland. Both have in common having once interviewed Verstappen. For JayJay Boske, it got more and more exciting: ' 'Max is someone everyone around him is kind of very nervous about. 'You can't do this, you can't do that. Be careful with the questions you ask.' Max was made so big in my head that I thought to myself of, 'I don't really know what to think of this guy,'" Boske says. He continues: ''And then he arrived. Then he was friendly, he was sociable, he had a chat. He also immediately got into the sim and showed me the best way to sim. He loved that. He made jokes, he was sympathetic. He knew something about me himself and it was very chill.''

Max prefers to play FIFA

The experience Boske had, Viaplay presenter Koen Weijland also had: ''I didn't know what to expect beforehand either,'' Weijland says. He continues: ''We had an hour with him. That's quite a long time. He doesn't want to know anything about star status. If you ask him a question of 'Hey Max, do you know that you are considered one of the greats?' He shrugs his shoulders. But that makes it really fun. He's genuine, relaxed and doesn't act out. And that might be the most important thing.'' Even though Max is not the biggest fan of interviews, Weijland still managed to captivate him: ''But then when you have the time with him, on a Thursday like that. He knows it's going to take an hour. We had brought a Playstation and FIFA. Yes then he's just relaxed. Then it's like 'Please let's just play FIFA, that's more fun than an interview like that.' ''
