'McLaren and Mercedes also present their car at the same time'

After Williams and Sauber announced that they will present their cars for 2024 at the same time, 5 February, McLaren and Mercedes appear to be doing the same, but on a different date.

The two top teams, McLaren and Mercedes, are both said to have chosen an eye-catching date, namely Valentine's Day, reports the Italian edition of Motorsport.com. It now seems a matter of waiting for formal confirmation of the date from both teams.

Media attention?

This is a notable choice, as on 14 February social media is full of posts surrounding the love fest and therefore the car presentations may not be able to catch as much media attention. With even two teams coming up with the unveiling on the same day, attention will be even scarcer.

Still, it is not very surprising that several teams have already chosen the same day. The days when the car can be presented are scarce and everyone wants to keep their car secret as long as possible, to keep the competition behind.
