Toto Wolff looks back on a disappointing 2023. He previously indicated that the team experienced mostly lows in the past year. In an interview with Mercedes fan Tom, he explains why the Mercedes did not drive as it should.

"During the year we realized that our car was not operating as stable as we have predicted. And that is because we didn’t develop it in the window that was necessary," said Toto Wolff on Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team's YouTube channel. He continued: "It was clear that the interaction between the chassis and tires didn’t work perfectly. So, in that respect, this was the most important learning."

Schumacher to Alpine

Mick Schumacher will make the switch to the WEC series for Alpine's team next season. The Austrian supports the move. "Mick is a good driver, deserves to be in F1. But there isn’t any vacancy, I think him going into WEC with a constructor like Alpine is a very good opportunity for him. I believe he’s going to do a perfect job and it keeps him sharp," Wolff said. Schumacher, incidentally, remains a reserve driver for Mercedes' F1 team.
