Red Bull junior Enzo Deligny, who competes in the Spanish F4 championship, misbehaved on track in the final race of the season at the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya and can expect a phone call from an enraged Helmut Marko.

Red Bull junior misbehaves on track

The Campos Racing driver appeared at the final race of the Spanish F4 championship in Barcelona, hoping to claim second place in the championship. The Frenchman was determined, as on getting away from the front row of the grid, he put in a particularly dangerous defensive manoeuvre on rival Valerio Rinicella. Rinicella was pushed onto the grass at high speed.

Returning to the track and before braking for the first corner combination, Deligny came back among the rest of the cars particularly dangerously. A surprisingly accommodating race management penalised the bizarre defensive manoeuvre with only a drive-through penalty. However, the story did not stop there.

Deligny ignores penalties

Deligny refused to sit out the penalty and drove on. The race committee's response was a black flag, meaning immediate disqualification. The Red Bull junior also ignored this penalty. The driver continued to drive stubbornly and continued his race even after several periods behind the safety car.

No comment from the driver or the team remains to be made, but it will not be a nice day for Deligny, who, as part of the Red Bull junior team, also has to deal with Red Bull Racing team advisor Dr Helmut Marko. Marko is known for his early phone calls the day after a race, and the message for Deligny will not be mild.
