Vasseur looks forward to Zandvoort: 'Top 10 will likely be in a thousandth'

Frederic Vasseur is looking forward to the Dutch Grand Prix. The Ferrari team boss states that his team's batteries are fully recharged after the summer break and thinks it will be hugely close at Circuit Zandvoort.

Zandvoort is a short circuit

Vasseur indicated in a Ferrari press release that his team is all set for the second half of the season. "We have recharged our batteries and are ready to go again. We can do so off the back of a strong showing in Belgium that ended with a well-deserved podium for Charles. Even though we will as usual be focusing on our own efforts, we are well aware that, on a short lap like Zandvoort, the gaps between the teams behind Red Bull will be even closer than at Spa." With a track length of just over four kilometres, Circuit Zandvoort is one of the shortest tracks on the Formula 1 calendar.

Vasseur expects exciting qualifying

So the Ferrari team boss is already putting pole position out of his mind because of the dominant Red Bull Racing. "Qualifying is particularly important at this track and the top ten on the grid will probably be fought out to the thousandth of a second. It will be a very busy weekend and we are aiming for a clean time on track to allow Charles and Carlos to get the maximum out of the SF-23," Vasseur concluded.
