The Red Bull Ring will once again play host to the 2023 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix. This year's event takes place between June 30 and July 2. Given the location, it is one of the most popular races for Max Verstappen fans travelling from The Netherlands. It's also a popular venue for F1 fans spread around Europe. Here is some travel advice for flights, trains and buses.

Driving is likely to be the easiest way of travelling to the circuit. Camping is a popular option at most European Grands Prix, and the Austrian event is no different. The circuit is a two-hour drive from Vienna, Austria's capital, and is linked via the A2 Autobahn [motorway] and then the S6. This route also runs close to Graz.

Nearest airports to the Red Bull Ring

The nearest airport to the Red Bull Ring is in Graz. The Flughden Graz [GRZ] is just a one-hour drive to the circuit, primarily using the A9. However, there are no direct flights from the United Kingdom to this airport. It's mainly just short-haul flights from destinations such as Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and even Vienna. There is a direct flight from Amsterdam, so this could be an option for the Orange Army if they don't want to drive.

For fans further away, Vienna is the best airport to aim for. There are direct flights from London, Manchester and Edinburgh if you're located in the United Kingdom. There are also arrivals from France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece and many more European locations. If you're coming from the United States, there is an easy connection from various cities, including Dublin. Hiring a car from the airport is a good option, but other methods are available.

Taking the train to the Red Bull Ring

The nearest train station to the Red Bull Ring is Knittelfeld. This train station has lines linking to many major cities, including Vienna. It takes around three hours to travel from the capital city by train. Free shuttle bus services are available from Knittelfeld station, running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Taking the bus to the Red Bull Ring
