Guenther Steiner has no ambition to leave the Haas F1 team anytime soon for a step up the ranks. Since entering the US team in 2016, the Italian has been at the helm and he still likes it. Even a role at iconic Ferrari as team boss is not necessary from him.

"No!" replies Steiner firmly to Mirror Sport. The 58-year-old top man is only focused on winning with Haas F1. "That is the desire I have, which is bigger than going into a team that is winning and just being an administrator of it. I am a Haas man – I don't know for life, but for the foreseeable."

That also has everything to do with the fact that Steiner himself is the founder of the team that finished eighth in the world championship last year and has yet to be on the podium in 151 race starts. "The passion comes from the idea I had to make the team. I didn't have the money and still don't, but I found Mr Haas who had the passion and had the money to do it. And he let us do it."

Steiner has been actively involved in the formation's creation, which has made him particularly attached to the team. Haas F1 feels like his "baby" and in the coming years he would like to see his baby grow up even further in Formula 1.
