Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich is currently a test and reserve driver at Aston Martin. Speaking to Givemesport , the Brazilian talks about the first months of the season at the British racing stable.

Aston Martin made a big step forward this season. Lawrence Stroll 's team managed to get quite a bit of performance out of the AMR23 during the winter break. Indeed, the speed difference was so great that Drugovich thought the simulator wasn't working properly. "On the simulator, you're never really sure how right it is. It's a funny story. We were seeing the gains we made for this year with my lap time and I was like 'hmm it's probably quite wrong!'" the driver laughed.

'Alonso even better than you think'

Drugovich is also enjoying Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard is "even better than you would expect", according to the Brazilian. "He's a master in what he's doing and it's quite special to see all he's able to do and on and off track," stated the team's third driver. "He's really good in the debriefs and he's always paying attention to every single detail, so it's really nice to learn from that. It's an honour to work with him and hopefully, in the future, I can drive against him," Drugovich concludes hopefully.
