There is extensive damage caused by the massive floods in the Emilia-Romagna region in particular, where the Imola Grand Prix was actually due to be held next weekend. The Formula 1 organisation announced on Wednesday that money will be raised for the victims of the natural disaster. Ferrari is not waiting for that to happen.

The Italian F1 team is providing one million euros for the affected residents of the flooded area. The Scuderia announced this via Twitter on Thursday afternoon. "Ferrari supports the flood-affected community and is donating 1 million euros to the Emilia-Romagna Region's Agency for Territorial Safety and Civil Protection, joining the regional fundraising campaign," the team wrote.

Yuki Tsunoda, who lives in the affected region, called on social media on Wednesday to raise money for local people. The AlphaTauri Japanese posted a video and photo with his message showing the terrible effects of the washing water.
