During the Miami race weekend, everything was pulled out to make the event an American spectacle. Not everyone was happy with the show. Neither was Ralf Schumacher, who even had a nasty experience from the race weekend.

Before the Grand Prix, each driver was introduced in flashy fashion by LL Cool J. After the race, the top three drivers were taken to the podium in American cars.

Ralf Schumacher thinks the festivities surrounding the race weekend are excessive, but understands why it is done: "What matters is what the market wants. We are happy to be in the USA. I imagine it will be different again in Austin. For that, the show will gain even more momentum when we are in Las Vegas. In Asia there are also certain features, nobody says anything about that either. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, I think it's okay."

However, the German is even less pleased with how he was handled: "The security pushed me over so brutally that it hurt me a lot. We'll forget about the scratches, but it's just not done that way. I expect an apology. But it's much more important that something like this doesn't happen again. The stewards handle things disproportionately in the USA. They don't know their way around and don't know how the interaction in Formula 1 works."
