After years of being behind the times, Red Bull Racing now has the dominant car for the second year in a row. The Austrian racing stable managed to win all four races run. However, dominance does not only bring benefits, as the FIA and the rival teams are doing everything they can to minimise the gap between Red Bull Racing and the rest of the teams.

Thus Helmut Marko suggests that shortening DRS zones is a way of the FIA to make the gap as small as possible, telling motorsport-magazin.com: "Overtaking has always been difficult. Then when you also shorten the DRS zone, the reason seems obvious to me. You have to stop intervening in such a manipulative way."

Marko doesn't understand Mercedes criticism

Mercedes' team has also suggested several times that Red Bull Racing's dominance is bad for the sport. Marko, however, wants to know nothing of this: "It is amazing that Mercedes is angry. They have had a superior engine for years. If you then fail to deliver a good car two years in a row, you have to concentrate on that."
