Toto Wolff denies rumours of a potential Charles Leclerc switch to Mercedes. The Austrian reveals that he has never talked to the Monegasque. The team boss then elaborates on his team's performance in Baku.

Leclerc is said to be dissatisfied with his team after Ferrari has now left him without a car to fight for the title for the fifth season in a row. Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur also previously contradicted the rumours and says the Monegasque is simply staying with Ferrari.

Wolff denies

Like Vasseur, the Mercedes team boss also contradicted the rumours. "I never talked to Charles, the only time we talked was at the airport and whether we should go to Starbucks or not. I don't know who is spreading these rumours. There are no talks," Wolff told Sky Sports.

Wolff then indicated that his team was struggling at the Baku start. George Russell was even eliminated in Q2 in the Azerbaijani capital. "We're struggling! It's so tiny the margins behind the top 3, and we have to do the best of it. We are losing time in three corners. We are pretty matched with Leclerc and Verstappen in the first two corners, then its the middle sector where the Ferrari is outstanding," the Austrian analysed.
