On the orders of Felipe Massa's hired legal team, the Brazilian has stopped making public statements about his dubious 2008 race. Massa had earlier announced legal action to have the results of the 2008 championship revised.

Felipe Massa revealed a few weeks ago that he was considering legal action against the controversial 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. In this, Flavio Briatore, former team principal of Renault, allegedly told Nelson Piquet to deliberately crash, helping his teammate, Fernando Alonso, to victory that weekend.

Hamilton and Massa

As a result of this incident, Lewis Hamilton finished third, while Massa had to settle for 13th. Since the final difference between them was one point, if the 2008 Singapore GP had been declared invalid, the championship would have gone to Massa.

According to Motorsport.com, Felipe Massa recently assembled his own team of lawyers. Their first recommendation seems to have been to make no further public statements about the next steps of his legal action.

Massa is not only a racing driver, but also an ambassador for F1 and attends Grand Prix fairly often, with Miami being the next event where he will be at the track.
