Lance Stroll is confident he is capable of competing in the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend. Quoted by Racer Stroll stresses that, in his opinion, there is no reason why he should not be able to race on Sunday.

Stroll was on the track for the first time this year on Friday. Although the other drivers had already been given a chance during the test days a week earlier, Stroll had to pass them up due to an injury to his arms.

During the first practice session, Stroll got off to a slightly difficult start, but he asserted himself more in the second. Stroll set the sixth time, half a second behind his teammate Fernando Alonso, who had the fastest time. Notable moment, however, was when Stroll was asked to take a different line through the corners. Stroll's reply was, "I can't man, because of the hands". After the session, footage surfaced of Stroll having to be helped out of the car by his team.

Stroll sees no cause for concern

However, Aston Martin and the FIA doctor had already declared Stroll healthy enough to race. The Canadian himself, therefore, insists that he is just able to take part in further activities this weekend.

"I'm feeling alright," Stroll declared. "A little stiff, but it was overall OK in the car today. I was just protecting [my hand] — feels a little more comfortable. I feel like I can definitely drive, no problem."
