De Vries feels good: "This is a special moment"

Nyck de Vries seems very comfortable at the start of his first expected F1 Grand Prix weekend. The Dutchman attended the FIA press conference and looks ahead to the GP weekend in Bahrain.

The driver added: "This is a very special moment. I already had the chance to experiance it and get a first taste in Monza last year. Now I am ahead of my first official season in F1. We had a long lead up time and we've been preparing for it for a very long time."

The Dutchman already has experience in F1 when he filled in for Alexander Albon at Monza: "All my experience in previous racing help me become the person I am today. Monza helped break the ice a little bit. This is a new experience because it's my first expected Grand Prix."

Where do AlphaTauri stand after testing? "Difficult to get a clear read on everyone. The top is clear, but in the midfield, it's so close together that it's difficult to know where you are in that group. Saturday night we will know where we are here in Bahrain. In Saudi we might be in a different place within that group," he concluded.
