A new season brings new chances for an eighth world title for Lewis Hamilton. He labelled launching the new car as "the most exciting part of the year". "Being at the factory this past week seeing these small elements coming together from different parts of the factory. And everything fits so beautifully."

Hamilton admitted he feels blessed that he gets to drive another season in Formula One. "There are almost 8 million people in the world and only 20 of us get to do this and only two of us get to drive for this team."

Time to start

In 2022, Hamilton did not manage to win a Grand Prix. He hopes he will be able to end this dry spell. The Brit went onto add that he can't wait to get going again. "We always miss driving. The break initially feels too short but by the end of it you're like okay I'm ready to go."

So now it's time to perform again. "Racing is part of my DNA. I believe I can get better, I love that challenge of the mental and physical element and deep diving to extract more performance from yourself and the people around you. There are always new tools. I am planning to stay a little bit longer."
