On paper Red Bull Racing could still lose both world titles, but even Christian Horner can no longer deny that things are looking very rosy for his team. The team boss maintains the one-race-at-a-time approach, but admits his team would likely have to go to extreme lengths to lose the title now.

Things are looking good for Red Bull

Red Bull has both world titles in its sights for the first time since 2013. The lead in both championships is so big that it seems an almost impossible task for the team's rivals to throw a spanner in the works. Although the Austrian team is looking at it from race to race, Horner too is now convinced that Red Bull's chances of winning the title in 2022 are looking good.

"We're in a great position and we'll probably have to try very hard to lose it," Horner acknowledged in a conversation with Formula1.com. "But mathematically, nothing is done until it’s done. Our approach is as it’s always been, go one race at a time. Next race, next Sunday, same effort. We don’t allow ourselves to think too far ahead."

Victory didn't come naturally to Max Verstappen in his home race at Zandvoort, but thanks to a clever piece of strategy the Dutchman once again had the best papers. Red Bull Racing also did a crucial job from Friday to Saturday, when the car seemed anything but the fastest during free practice.
