Ferrari were given a hard time after another disappointing result in the French Grand Prix, due to mistakes made by the team. Charles Leclerc threw it away, while Carlos Sainz was put on a questionable strategy. The Spaniard himself, however, does not appear to have driven a flawless race either.

Sainz drove away despite red light

Like most drivers, Sainz used the safety car phase after Leclerc's crash to gain time with a pit stop. The Spaniard had started against the trend on hard compound and was forced to fit a set of medium tyres for the remaining 35 laps. However, a stuck wheel delayed his stop.
