Brendon Hartley has finally put his first ever point in the F1 on the board, as the Kiwi finished in tenth in Baku on Sunday, which will probably mean that the rumours of him getting axed will quiet down for now.

Hartley has been under quite some pressure, as the rumours of Pascal Wehrlein replacing him mid-season are starting to get louder and louder. Dr Helmut Marko is known for his ruthless axing at Toro Rosso (look at Daniil Kvyat), so Hartley should definitely be worried. Getting a point on the board will certainly help the Kiwi's future though.

"I'm very happy with my first point in F1," he told F1i.com.

"We've had some chances like in Bahrain, but it's nice to have that first point under my belt."

When analyzing his race, Hartley did admit that the drivers in front of him crashing left and right certainly helped him to earn his point.

"I actually had to defend all race, because we were being overtaken left and right on the straight.

"Fortunately there was a lot of drama with the other drivers which gave us the opportunity to score a point."
