Internet reacts to Monaco GP | "And the pettiness begins again"
- GPblog.com
The Monaco Grand Prix may be over, but the race did have an interesting tail end. Sergio Perez scored a great victory and Max Verstappen finished third, but both Red Bull Racing drivers were called to the stewards after a protest from Ferrari. There was plenty to talk about, as the internet reactions after the race showed.
Internet reacts to Monaco GP
In the early stages of the race, a lot of attention was focused on Pierre Gasly, who switched to intermediates early on, performing nice overtaking manoeuvres on the track. The heavy rain was also much discussed as people waited for the race - an hour later than planned - to start.
Valtteri Bottas took advantage of the wet weather in a fun way by sharing a photo in which the Finn is frolicking in the water on the track in his birthday suit. Of course, there was also a lot of attention for Ferrari's strategic blunder, which cost Charles Leclerc the victory.
Of course, there is also attention to the handsome victory of Perez, for whom everything seems to fall into place at the moment. The viewers also took notice of the defensive work of Fernando Alonso, who had a great time with Lewis Hamilton behind him.
