Yuki Tsunoda says he remains ready to drive alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing. The Japanese driver - who currently still races for Visa Cash App RB reiterated that point at the press conference ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Earlier this season, when asked by GPblog, Tsunoda expressed that he deserved the seat alongside Red Bull. That was at a time when he was in good form. Last week in Mexico, he struggled with two crashes. Helmut Marko revealed this week that Tsunoda is suddenly making mistakes because Lawson is pressuring him.

Tsunoda: 'I haven't achieved what I wanted so far'

Lawson currently seems like the leading candidate for Red Bull alongside Verstappen in 2025, provided, of course, that Sergio Perez leaves. Nevertheless, Tsunoda has not given up hope of a place in Red Bull's team. He still thinks he is ready for the step up: "Yeah, I think definitely. It's always the driver you want to drive with. He's the best driver so far. He has a lot of skills and (I) definitely would like to learn a lot of things," Tsunoda revealed.

"But also, I want to finish as a learning and see how it goes. But I just focus now on what I have to do. And so far, I'm just not really able to achieve what I want to do. So, see how it goes," Tsunoda added.
