Perez proud of relationship with Verstappen: 'Just great'

Sergio Perez has taken a good feeling from the Grand Prix of Imola. The driver was on the podium in Italy together with Max Verstappen and thus seems to be mentally fully ready for the race weekend in Miami, where he and his teammate once again want to come out strong.

Whereas the Mexican faced a lot of criticism last season for his first year at Red Bull Racing, he now seems to be getting it right. With a pole position and two podiums, he showed what he's capable of during the season's start.

Perez is not only satisfied with his performance, but he is also still enjoying the collaboration with his teammate. Indeed, according to Perez, he has an excellent relationship with Verstappen. "It’s a great relationship that we have, Max, myself, the team. Just great," he stressed in conversation with Beyond The Flag.

Verstappen prepares for Miami GP

Verstappen also seems to be fully prepared for the American GP. The Dutchman announced in preparation for the first two free practice sessions that he has been practising in the simulator, but that he is now very curious about how the RB18 will behave in the United States.
