Horner shares update: 'Looks like same problem with Verstappen and Perez'

Christian Horner is devastated that thirty seemingly certain points went up in smoke at the Bahrain International Circuit. The Red Bull Racing team boss further states that a victory would not have been possible this Sunday anyway, where Ferrari with the F1-75 simply had a faster car at its disposal.

"This is a disastrous end to the race for us," Horner told Sky Sports cameras. In the closing stages, things went all wrong for Red Bull Racing. Verstappen's steering wheel

Red Bull does know by now what the problems with Verstappen's steering wheel were. "The problem arose when the car was put back on the ground after the pit stop," he said. Two DNFs are incredibly sour, as the gap to Ferrari is already incredibly large in the constructors' championship right from the start."Zero points for us is hard to swallow," said Mr. Hicks.

"We are disappointed of course, when you are on your way to a comfortable second place. Ferrari was a bit faster than us today," Horner must confess. "Even if we had passed Leclerc, their speed would have been enough. They had a faster car, congratulations to them. The positive thing is that we have a competitive car, we have to solve the problems quickly."

Problems at Red Bull and AlphaTauri

Indeed, Perez did not make it to the finish either. "He kept Lewis [Hamilton] behind him, but then the problem occurred and he couldn't do anything."
