With nine days to go until the winter test in Barcelona begins, it's time for four different teams to launch their cars this week. It remains to be seen whether AlphaTauri, Williams, Ferrari and Mercedes will show more than their predecessors.

F1 teams withhold information

The first car presentations of 2022 are over. Haas, Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin and McLaren have already displayed their cars to the general public. In the case of Red Bull, however, the car was a show model 2022 car with a Red Bull livery, while Haas' car was conjured up from a computer program, meaning they're actual car hasn't been shown yet.

Aston Martin and McLaren did show their car, however, and since both teams drive with a Mercedes engine, it made for an interesting comparison. These teams also didn't show everything with their car presentation, but at least they displayed their actual car. The question is how the next teams will present their new 2022 cars.

AlphaTauri will be the first to go on Monday, February 14. On Valentine's Day, the Italian team will pull the curtain of the new AT03 at 11am. It is still unclear whether in the case of AlphaTauri it will be a real car presentation or whether the team will use a show model like Red Bull. In any case, the car unveiling can be followed live on AlphaTauri's YouTube channel.

On Tuesday, February 15 it is Williams' turn and the team have already released a video that suggests there might be a new colour in the livery. Whether the entire livery is also different remains to be seen, but Nicholas Latifi and Alexander Albon were in any case very happy with the fresh colour of the car.

New Ferrari?

The presentation that many are most looking forward to is the Ferrari presentation on Thursday, February 17. The Italian team has been hinting at a dark livery all winter and the new suits of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc could not hide the fact that the black colour will return in the livery of the F1-75 either.

On Friday, February 18, it is Mercedes' turn with an extensive program. In the morning, the team will show the new car, then, like Aston Martin, they will opt for a shakedown on the track. For this, the team will use one of the two available filming days of this season. After much speculation, the announcement also revealed that Lewis Hamilton will 'just' be present at the launch and in the company of George Russell.
