Racing Point boss Otmar Szafnauer has put his team's results in perspective after he has revealed that the team is still suffering from the lack of money from previous seasons. Lawrence Stroll has now helped the team financially but Szafnauer thinks that it won't be until next season that we will see the improvements this money will bring.
It has been a disappointing season for Racing Point and they haven't been able to reach their goals.
"We were hoping to be fifth or fourth this year, so in that respect it is a bit disappointing," Szafnauer reports to Autosport.
"If you look at what happened last year, when the car was under development and we were struggling with unrest, all the more financially, it is not surprising."
Lawrence Stroll will hope to see some return to his investment in the team next season and that his son, Lance Stroll, is given a fast car!
