The championship battle

Entering the final round of the season, it is Lando Norris who leads the F1 drivers' standings. The Briton leads Max Verstappen by 12 and Oscar Piastri by 16.

In order to secure his first ever F1 title without looking at the others, Norris needs to finish at least in third place.

Different faces in FP1

The Formula 1 grid will look completely different during the first free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A total of nine full-time drivers will not drive in the session.

Championship contender Oscar Piastri is replaced by Pato O'Ward, Lewis Hamilton is replaced by Arthur Leclerc, and Cian Shields is set to drive Fernando Alonso's AMR25 in this session.
