Results from stage 8 of the Dakar Rally 2021 | Second victory for Cornejo Florimo

The eighth stage of the Dakar Rally is a short adventure through the desert of Saudi Arabia, but such small differences at the top can also make the difference. Here are the results from stage 8.

Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo has come out of the rest day particularly well. After the Chilean won the seventh stage, he now also takes the eighth stage and extends his lead in the general classification. Toby Price stayed close, but lost another minute to his big rival. However, the big loser of the day was Xavier de Soultrait, who was conscious but had to be taken to hospital after a crash.
