Ferrari team principal Vasseur misses Austrian Grand Prix after drivers perform well in qualifying

Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur will not be present for the Austrian Grand Prix due to personal reasons.
The Frenchman will return home, with Deputy Team Principal Jerome D'Ambrosio taking his place for the raceday.
D'Ambrosio is a former F1 driver himself, having driven in 20 Grands Prix for Virgin and Lotus. The Belgian joined Ferrari in October 2024 and works as Deputy Team Principal. He is also the head of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
After leaving the role of Venturi team principal in Formula E, The 39-year-old had a short stint with Mercedes as Driver Development Director before joining Ferrari. At the German team, he was also seen as a potential successor to Toto Wolff.
Vasseur's absence comes just after a solid qualifying perfomance from his both drivers.
Charles Leclerc starts the race at the Red Bull Ring from second place, with teammate Lewis Hamilton in fourth after a solid qualifying performance yesterday.

Leclerc is hoping to bring Ferrari's first victory of 2025 home in Austria.  The Monégasque stated that he is hopeful about his chances, believing that he can challenge the McLarens on Sunday.
