Max Verstappen has a nice little piece of news for his fans: in Miami, the Dutchman will drive with a special helmet, which will soon also be available for sale as a mini-variant. The two-time World Champion presented the colourful headgear on his instagram account.
"I think you can through the colours where it is going to be at," laughed Verstappen, as he shows off his colourful helmet. The Red Bull driver asked Schuberth, maker of his racing helmets, to create a 'Miami helmet'.
"The general design is the same as my normal helmet. That one was already quite nice, so we could keep it like that," the Limburger explained. The rest of the helmet catches the eye because of its bright colours. The turquoise in particular prevails. Verstappen is delighted with it: "I am very happy with the outcome." The championship leader is already hinting at more special helmets this season. "I think the combination of colours makes it very nice," the Dutchman said. "It is quite a 'clean' design, which I really like this year and hope to also in all other special helmets."
