In the 2018 F1 season a lot was at stake for Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. It would be the season that could define their careers for both drivers. This video from Floz looks back on the ultimate battle between the two greatest champions of their generation.

At the beginning of the 2018 season, Vettel and Hamilton had each won four world titles. After a few less competitive seasons, Vettel's Ferrari seemed to be a good match for Hamilton's Mercedes in 2018. The fight was on and the winner would pull clear on five titles.

Hamilton and Vettel neck to neck

How that ended is, of course, no secret, but what people may not remember is how exciting the first half of the season really was. Lewis Hamilton had a difficult start, but then fought back in Baku and Barcelona.

Then it was Vettel's turn to strike again. Especially after the hard-won victory at the British Grand Prix it looked good for the German. The drama during his home race at Hockenheim a few weeks later, however, would be the beginning of the end of his title aspirations.
