Max Verstappen retained the lead at the start of the Dutch Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver started on new soft tyres, while the Ferrari's on P2 and P3 started on mediums.

Good start for Verstappen

Everyone gets away cleanly at the start at circuit Zandvoort. Lewis Hamilton has a slight contact with the car of Carlos Sainz, but the Briton can avoid a major incident or damage. Verstappen has to defend against Charles Leclerc towards the first corner, but the Dutchman manages to keep the lead. However, Verstappen is still unable to create a gap to the rest of the field.

The top five remains unchanged with Sainz in P3, Hamilton in fourth and Sergio Perez in P5. Lance Stroll is on the move and has moved up from P10 to P8. Kevin Magnussen runs wide on lap 2 and hits the wall, but is able to continue the race.
