Horner visibly moved by present from Verstappen: 'This is really special'

Max Verstappen has won his first world title, achieving this with Red Bull Racing after an incredible Formula 1 season. Back at the Red Bull factory in Milton Keynes, the brand new world champion had a special present for his team boss Christian Horner.

It is the helmet with which he won the 2021 championship, bearing his signature and the following personal message: 'Thanks for everything'. "It had to happen," states the Dutchman as he hands the gift to his team boss.

Horner touched by special gift from Verstappen

Horner is visibly touched by his driver's gesture. "This is really, really special," said the 48-year-old Briton. "This is amazing, thank you so much."

The Red Bull team boss additionally states that the helmet has done its job well, something Verstappen has experienced in person. "It's headbutted the tyre wall, so it can withstand a lot," laughed the champion.
