Yeah I know. It's not going to change anytime soon and any short term solution is likely to allow the electric power to last longer. Then it means less powerful cars. I'm ok with that.01-04-2026 12:41

I've watched the odd part race now and again. You're right though, whatever the power it needs to be available for most if not all the lap.01-04-2026 11:04

The problem in F1 for years (since the stepped bottom in 94) was that overtaking was difficult. With less underfloor optimisation the cars just washed out when getting close to another car. DRS was introduced as fake way of allowing overtaking. I didnt like it, but it was effective. I always found it interesting that in the 90s Indycar could race so closely but F1 couldnt. They had venturi tunnels creating ground effect that worked really well. I was therefore hopeful with the 22 regs, but that failed too. I dislike these regs, and dont understand how F1 got here. Simulators told us that cars will decelerate on the straights and thats exactly what is happening. Its intuitively wrong for racing. Imagine Senna stabbing the throttle in these cars, thats not how to drive then anymore. I dont think its a case of 'I dislike these rules so I'll stop watching'. I think its more of a case 'I dislike these rules and I'm losing interest'. I cant think why I would stop watching F1 but I'm almost at the point of not being bothered about watching it live and will catch up on skyf1 or watch highlights on youtube. I almost feel that the championship is of less value as a result of the best driver being the one who managed his electrical energy best.01-04-2026 10:33

At least DRS meant that the driver in front had a chance to defend into the corner. Not anymore. In fact why defend at all. You'll repass on the next straight. Started watching F1 in '86. This is the most ridiculous set of rules I've ever seen and I can't believe it's actually happened.31-03-2026 20:17
