Magnussen frustrated by "unpredictable" Haas

Kevin Magnussen admits that he felt "hopeless" on his first stint during Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix as he continued to struggle with Haas' difficult tyre management.

The Dane ran in P7 early on in the race but it was clear he was not going to be able to hold the position for long, and was soon out of the top ten following a flurry of overtakes on him.

Despite a better feeling following his pit stop, Magnussen was unable to recover enough to score points, eventually coming home in 12th.

He said in Haas' post race press release: “The first stint on the C3 tires felt terrible, there was absolutely no grip and we were just falling down and getting overtaken all the time.
