Williams seems to be back after a couple of difficult seasons. This year the team has finished in the top-10 in four of the last five races, including the Russian Grand Prix. The team is now eighth in the Constructors' Championship and 16 points clear of Alfa Romeo and this is partly due to the arrival of Jost Capito.

During the winter Jost Capito joined Williams as the new CEO. In his role with the team, he has mainly overseen structural changes and has also vandalised the way different parts of the team interact and work together.

"It's been a continuous improvement in the way we work. We have improved our organisation and communication, we have changed the responsibilities and we are working much more as a team," Capito told Autosport.

"We have also changed the strategy and how we approach a race. We are more proactive and aggressive instead of just defensive. When you have the ninth fastest car, you can try other things that others might not be able to try because they are up front and it would be too risky. I think we took a few risks and it worked," Capito said.

Team got a boost

Williams driver George Russell is also satisfied with the team and thinks that the points scored in the Hungarian Grand Prix were a breakthrough for the team.

"Once we scored those points, there was less pressure on everyone's shoulders and we could really start enjoying ourselves. In Spa we also got a great result and that really boosted the whole team. I think it proves that when each team member comes together and does his bit to the best of his ability, good things are possible. So I'm definitely happy," Russell said.
