McLaren makes an excellent impression in Formula 1 this season. The team drove with Lando Norris frequently between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. During the Russian Grand Prix, it even looked like it was going to take the win, but that didn't happen.

Norris was leading for much of the race and seemed to be keeping Hamilton behind him, but just before the end of the GP, everything changed. The drivers had to deal with heavy rain, after which Norris decided not to go in. It turned out to be the wrong decision because in the closing stages of the race Norris was unable to keep his first place.

Juan Pablo Montoya, however, has respect for McLaren, he says in an interview with Motorsport.com. "It takes a bit of time to make sure you do the right calls. I don't think it's anybody to blame for what happened there. As a team, they did an amazing job. It just didn't go their way."

McLaren will come back this season

Although the blow will be hard on Norris, Montoya is sure the Briton will bounce back this season. "He deserved to win the race, but I'm sure there'd be some circuits between now and the end of the year that they're going to fare well at as well."
