In the first half year of Formula 1, we have already seen a number of changes to the original calendar. Australia went to the end of the season and was later cancelled altogether and Turkey was supposed to replace Canada, but was eventually moved to October.

The last changes to the calendar have not yet been made according to Auto, Motor und Sport Formula 1 is planning to race more outside Europe after the summer break. The first important change will be the Japanese Grand Prix according to the German medium.

Several important countries on the red list

If this one cannot take place F1 already has a replacement ready in the form of a second American Grand Prix but there seem to be more problems on the horizon. The Grand Prix in Turkey is also in danger because the country is still on the red list of the English government. People coming back from Turkey have to stay in quarantine for ten days. Ten precious days for the Formula 1 teams.

Mexico is now also on the red list of the English and so that also causes early worries for the F1 management. F1-CEO Stefano Domenicali still holds out hope for a calendar with 23 races. Brazil seems increasingly certain of that too, now that the vaccination rate in the country has increased.
