After all the drama surrounding the race at Silverstone, it's time to focus on the Hungary GP. Lewis Hamilton thinks Red Bull Racing are still slightly ahead of Mercedes in terms of pace.

Just two weeks ago Hamilton took victory at Silverstone after a crash by Max Verstappen. The upgrade Mercedes brought to Britain seemed to give them a better pace. Yet Mercedes could not beat Verstappen in the sprint race on Saturday.

"I still think they're slightly ahead", Hamilton said ahead of this weekend on Motorsport.com. "We certainly haven't brought the upgrade to close the gap that we've seen in some of the other races before that."

"But in Hungary, with their potential, I think they still have the upper hand. I do think we can still make it difficult for them by keeping up with them. We still have work to do to really get on par with them, or take a lead."

Hungaroring is for aggressive drivers

The tight track and many corners make the Hungaroring ideal for Red Bull's car, which has plenty of downforce. Hamilton hopes the nature of the circuit will play to his advantage when braking.

"The circuit is an old circuit and they don't make it like it used to be," he said. "It's a circuit that one works for an aggressive driver in terms of driving style and in terms of how late and deep you brake in the corners."
