Nearly 300 laps for AlphaTauri in test with new Pirelli tyres
AlphaTauri have completed a two day test at the Red Bull Ring. Whilst all other teams left for their factory, the team of Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda stayed behind to test with Pirelli tyres.
Test for AlphaTauri
In 2022 we will see completely different cars than in previous years. Formula 1 is undergoing a rule change, which means the teams will have to redesign their cars. However, a new car also requires new tyres, so Pirelli will introduce a new 18-inch tyre.
The Italian tyre company doesn't have a lot of testing days, so they have to take advantage of every moment. On Tuesday and Wednesday AlphaTauri made long test days. On Tuesday Gasly drove 164 laps, and on Wednesday Tsunoda drove a total of 131 laps. How do you guys think the tyres look?
